Meet The Team

“It’s not so hard, after you’ve lost a son.” Those are words from a client I will never forget, and they shaped the way I think about veterinary medicine. Emergency medicine is not only about treating disease — it’s about helping people through fear, grief, uncertainty, and difficult decisions with honesty and compassion. At Rogue Valley Veterinary Emergency, I wanted to build a hospital where clients could remain with their pets during care and feel like part of the process instead of separated from it.

I enjoy laceration repairs because every case is a little different, and it’s rewarding to see patients leave cleaned up, repaired, and on their way to healing.

I like emergency medicine because of the fast pace, the constant multitasking, and the opportunity to help animals during some of their worst moments.

Outside of work, I’m usually reading a book, eating pasta, or appreciating anything frog-related.

I most enjoy caring for and rehabilitating hospitalized patients and scrubbing in on surgical cases — those are the moments that remind me why I love this work. Emergency medicine fits me because it's not just about the medicine itself; it's about the impact we have and the support we can offer to the families who love these patients so deeply. Outside the hospital, you can usually find me lost in a creative writing project — or debating whether cats or rats make the better companion (still undecided).

I enjoy complicated internal medicine cases and appreciate the challenge of balancing multiple issues to help achieve the best outcome possible for both pets and their families. Emergency medicine fits me well because I enjoy the fast pace and the constant opportunity to keep growing my knowledge and skills. Outside of work, I love snowboarding, and I’ll never turn down chips and salsa.
